Summary

Joining the US Secret Service Office of the Enterprise Readiness, Administrative Operations Division will allow you to plan, coordinate all activities associated with the acquisition programming, design, and construction related to USSS facilities and installations, and collaborate with the Division Chief and Deputy Division Chief on the formulation of short and long range Branch plans, goals, an objectives and other related programs in support of all USSS protective, investigative mission.

Responsibilities

The selectee will serve as a Supervisory Facilities Management Analyst in the Administrative Operations Division. Typical work assignments include:
  • Exercising supervisory personnel management responsibilities; planning, controlling, directing, and coordinating the work of Facilities Management Analysts; evaluating performance of subordinates; and identifying developmental needs.
  • Advising the Deputy Division Chiefs on the implications and feasibility of program plans, proposals, and recommendations; collaborating with the Division Chief and Deputy Division Chief on the formulation of short and long range Branch and Division plans, goals, and objectives; preparing comprehensive recommendations regarding the development and/or modification of Branch policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency; and ensuring effective and efficient coordination between the staff and the General Services Administration on lease actions to include relocation, expansion or renovation.
  • Overseeing the development of in-house cost estimates for approved "CDs; reviewing cost projections, scope of work and project schedules; and integrating into overall project plan.; reviewing and approving all construction drawings (CD), ensuring specifications are consistent with agency standards and requirements; and evaluating the quality and quantity of contract services for the construction, maintenance, cleaning and repair of physical/architectural structures, landscaping elements and outdoor functional areas of various USSS offices throughout the U.S. and abroad.
  • Participating in meetings with other management officials to discuss major program changes, reorganizations, budget projections, and staffing and equipment needs, and preparing justification; and communicating with a variety of individuals or groups of all levels management, supervisors and employees throughout the agency, other federal agencies, and contractors and vendors.

Qualifications

You qualify for the GS-14 level (starting salary $121,316) if you possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level performing duties such as: overseeing, managing projects associated with the construction, acquisition and design of leased and owned facilities; evaluating contract services, maintenance, and repair of architectural structures of various offices; preparing and reviewing recommendations regarding the development or modification of policies, short and long range plans for facilities; and coordinating the work of staff.

Time-in-Grade: Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service. Qualifications Must Be Met: The qualification requirements listed above must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
