Summary

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

Responsibilities

  • Executes tasks and workloads as a functional expert for a Regional segment of a multifunctional team in one of six COCOMs.
  • Coordinates Command efforts i.e. equipment readiness, working parts availability issues, and oversight/coordination of field level sustainment support to Army Forces.
  • Works with other logistics analysts to develop new methodologies/strategies, and makes recommendations to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of the Command?s logistics support operations.
  • Compiles, analyzes, and interprets logistics readiness information and develops trend lines and forecasts of future potential problems in providing field support.
  • Represents the supervisor and other supervisors/managers in meetings affecting logistics support planning, proposing, defending, and coordinating assigned projects and programs.
  • Directs and engages in preparation and presentation of briefings/reports to the Commander and higher echelons.

  • Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
  • This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position.
  • Selectees must meet position requirements for certification at Level 3 in the Acquisition Career Field "Life Cycle Logistics" within 24 months of entrance on duty.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Secret Security Clearance.
  • This position requires lifting of at least 20 lbs.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. One year of specialized experience which includes (1) Recommend guidance and/or direction to internal/organizational entities on operations and plans for Command management;
(2) Interpret logistic readiness information to develop trends and forecasts of future problems; and (3) Represent the supervisor and other supervisors/managers in meetings affecting
logistics support. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service NH-02 or GS-11.

Education

  • The salary range for this position is $86,335.00 to $133,465.00 Per Year including locality at the rate of 30.48%. Management will set the selectee's pay for this position within the salary range consistent with the qualifications and education of the selectee and the expected contribution for the position.
  • You will be required to undergo a background investigation leading to the successful adjudication of eligibility for Secret security clearance. Derogatory information developed during the background investigation, such as a criminal history or an adverse credit history, could render the selectee ineligible for both the security clearance and continued employment in the position, if already appointed.
