Responsibilities

  • You will provide acquisition logistics guidance to all designated activities and personnel who support the NAVAIR METCAL Program.
  • You will develop and implement policies, control and operating procedures for all aspects of METCAL ILS.
  • You will oversee all acquisition logistics activities associated with metrology and calibration maintenance support development and implementation.
  • You will manage cost, schedule and performance of METCAL Milestone execution related to common and peculiar Support Equipment, Test Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) and CALSTD acquisition

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). You must be certified as a Career Field Life cycle Logistics Level III. Certification is required within 24 months of appointment.
  • This position is a designated Critical Acquisition Position (CAP). You must be a member of the Acquisition Corps, become a member, or obtain a waiver at the time of selection and sign a three-year tenure agreement prior to assuming the position
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.


Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-12/13) grade level or (DS-05) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Examples of specialized experience: 1) Managing project/program requirements, objectives, and metrics; 2) Resolving conflicts among schedules, funding, and resources; 3) Synthesizing critical management issues, documentation, and relevant information to support effective program reviews; 4) Providing acquisition logistics guidance to all designated activities and personnel who support programs; 5) Preparing acquisition status reporting documents and briefs associated with acquisition Milestone reviews..
