Summary

This position is located in the Administrative Services Branch (ASB), Division of Management Services (DMS) within CSR. Functions as Lead Administrative Officer with responsibility for the performance of a variety of duties related to budget analysis, execution and monitoring, acquisition management, management analysis, travel, training, and other applicable administrative management functions. Serves as lead over a team responsible for administrative functions.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate program and budget reviews with various organizations within the Center.
  • Provide analysis and overall management of the acquisition function for the Center.
  • Provide managerial advice to CSR Senior Management regarding specific studies and analysis in all administrative support areas.
  • Conduct comprehensive CSR management control reviews and audits of administrations operations (e.g. timekeeping, property management, travel, procurement) to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Oversee the facilities operation and management of all CSR space.
  • Lead an administrative team by identifying, distributing and balancing workload and tasks among employees in accordance with established workflow, skill level, or occupational specialization.
  • Prepare reports and maintain records of work accomplishments and administrative information.

Qualifications

In order to qualify for the Lead Administrative Officer, GS-0341-14 position, you must demonstrate in your resume at least one year of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector, performing the following types of tasks: providing two or more essential management services (e.g. budget, management analysis, travel, space management, procurement, performance management, contracting etc.) for a multi-function organization through performing the following types of tasks: providing leadership, guidance and advice to staff on matters related to a variety of administrative management functions; formulating, justifying or executing multi-million dollar budgets; developing new or revised organizational structures that result in more efficient and effective program operations; evaluating the impact of major mission-related program changes on the organization's resources; and developing new resource management administrative policies throughout an organization.
