If this sounds outstanding to you, take the first step forward and explore a career with Dal-Tile.Dal-Tile is seeking a determined Regional Sales Manager that will be responsible for assisting the Sr Sales Director and local independent sales agents in the promotion and sales of Daltile Perennial rooftile products and all aspects of general administration within the assigned geography. The Regional Sales Manager will also provide training and technical assistance to customers in defined geography.Product sales, accomplished primarily through roofing contractors, distribution, specification selling to architects, custom home builders and HOA's. Includes identification of prospective jobs and decision-making individual, timely contact, and effective follow-up. Also includes proper use of sales and promotional tools provided by the company and development of additional tools, such as local job photos, testimonials, references, etc.Assist with the management of the contractor base including, training of contractor crews and roofing distributor partners.Technical services, include participation in prejob meetings (when required), conduct periodic job inspections, material take offs and installation guidelines reviews.Budget management, including sales and related business expenses, to ensure that all territory expenses are within defined limits, and policies followed.Participate in the development and preparation of the sales forecasts, pipeline and promotional budget for the territory.General administration, including timely completion of all administrative reports required (expense reports, prospect listsCRM/Salesforce.com, pipeline, job quotes, shipping forecasts, call reports, activity reports, etc.) per established guidelines and time frames.Pricing administration, including maximizing price on each job, proper and timely documentation for pricing, and responsible determination for required pricing deviations, based upon job size, competitive threat, specification rigidity, etc.Education and Experience:Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience and education requiredTwo plus years' experience in the building material industryThree plus years of outside sales capacity is preferredCompetencies:Professional selling skills are criticalProfessional image - appearance and demeanorSelf-motivated with ability to prioritize goals and objectives with minimal supervisionAbility to read, analyze and interpret technical proceduresPresent information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, employees, and the publicComputer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CRM)Responds to customer requests in a timely mannerActs fairly and ethically in all business dealingOther pertinent job information:This team member will be expected to drive a car and travel (as necessary), without assistance (may be extensive during the first year of training). They must have the ability to climb ladders, work with heights and demonstrate roof applications. This position does work in outdoor conditions (including high/low temperatures, wind, dust, humidity, etc.).
