The Title Company Post Closer is responsible for performing all essential duties as listed below under general supervision. The successful candidate is expected to conduct all activities with the professionalism, courtesy, and accuracy necessary to foster a positive image of Northwest Title & Escrow, LLC as well as member and client confidence and loyalty.

Responsibilities

  • Review settlement documents to ensure they are properly notarized and signed
  • Scan closing packages and forward to relevant parties
  • Prepare documents for recording with land records office (VA, MD and DC), tracks and verifies recording; including electronic submissions
  • Verify all monies have been received
  • Ensure compliance with loan instructions and related settlement directives
  • Prepare final disbursement to include, cutting checks, outgoing wires, and balancing case
  • Disburse cases in a timely manner to ensure they are closed and recorded in compliance with RESPA and state/county specific requirements
  • Communicate effectively with clients, lenders, real estate agents and other industry related individuals to coordinate the preparation of closing paperwork for real estate settlements
  • Prepare Certificates of Satisfaction, release of Judgments and/or other documents for transmittal to lender with payoffs
  • Prepare deposits for operating and escrow accounts
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player
  • Must be detailed oriented, organized, and able to multi-task
  • Responsible for post-closing approximately 100 loans per month
  • Must be proactive, results-oriented and focused on providing superior customer service
  • Adhere to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) regulations and all related credit union policies and procedure
  • Other related duties related to this position may be assigned


Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year experience as a Title Company Post Closer
  • Prior experience working at a title company
  • Must have the ability to work onsite in our Herndon, VA office
  • Experience with TitleExpress software is preferred
