Let your imagination take flight supporting the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD). Looking to find work that stimulates your mind, challenges your skills, and satisfies your curiosity? MIL currently holds several multi-year contracts with NAWCAD in the areas of Cyber, C5ISR, and Information Technology systems.

The MIL Corporation is seeking a Systems Engineer, Sr. Associate to perform the work of an Electronic Warfare (EW) Engineer in support of a Federal Government client at our Southern Maryland location. The EW Engineer should have extensive Jammer experience along with experience defining avionics system and subsystem requirements, familiarity with avionics system analysis, integration, test and evaluation activities, and familiarity with associated ground and airborne design, development, integration and test activities. The selected candidate will work within a Systems Integration team for a variety of Federal Government related programs.

Responsibilities
  • Provide systems engineering expertise in avionics technologies in the areas of system design and integration
  • Develop and utilize data processing tools to perform data analysis and provide data to customers
  • Design complex component level hardware/software utilizing analytical tools to verify the design
  • Assist in developing subsystems (e.g., avionics, flight systems, training/support systems etc.) and integrating them into a complete operational system across multiple phases of weapon system acquisition.
  • Work within a group of Engineers identifying and documenting interfaces, balancing competing requirements, and assuring the effective integration of multiple subsystems.
  • Support Program offices with interpreting operational requirements, establishing baselines, and analyzing design trade-offs to balance cost, performance, and schedules.
  • Perform mission system hardware/software troubleshooting
  • Apply general engineering principles to research, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, and/or evaluate systems
  • Review and prepare engineering and technical analysis, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation
  • Be prepared to demonstrate skills in problem solving, planning/organizing projects, written/oral communication, collaboration and team building.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace or Systems Engineering from an ABET accredited course of study . A Master's degree in Systems Engineering is highly desirable.
  • 15 years professional engineering experience, in conducting hardware and software diagnostics/integration and working with systems engineering in avionics systems.
  • At least 5 years of Electronic Warfare (EW) related experience, with demonstrated Jammer expertise desired.

Clearance

All applicants for this position must possess a current Secret clearance (Top Secret Desired); please note that the clearance process takes into account financial background aspects.
