The Office of Information Technology Management (OIT) is looking for candidates to fill a Supervisory IT Specialist (Cloud Solutions Engineer) position.

Responsibilities

As a Supervisory IT Specialist (Cloud Solutions Engineer) will serve as the unit chief, Application Development, OIT,
1. Provide leadership and architectural expertise to a cross-functional team of IT specialists and contractors charged with deploying a host of customer-related applications and data to the cloud.

2. Provide practice guidance on the architectural design across multiple applications and projects of the enterprise.

3. Lead projects for data integration into cloud service models including Infrastructure-as-a-Service, Platform-as-a Service, and Software as a service.

4. Solve a wide range of development, operational and support problems to meet customer requirements. Draws upon multiple IT specialties in order to accomplish complex tasks.

5. Develop and execute strategies to steer solutions to the use of the cloud for software, platform, and infrastructure as a service in support of federal policies and guidance. Integrates solutions across multiple vendors.

6 .Research emerging technologies and advises managers and customers on software and/or hardware needs, on the new technology.

7. Develop cloud-agnostic policies and tools while raising awareness on best practices for cloud adoption.

8. Maintain in-depth understanding of the business value of the cloud while identifying and leveraging synergies across the various PSA program areas. Supports team members and partners to assist in the development of technology best practices, standards and policies/guidelines for cloud infrastructure adoption.

9. Work closely with IT security to monitor the PSA cloud privacy compliance.

10. Serve as Senior Technology Advisor in execution of the PSA Cloud migration Strategy. Provides expert technical guidance on modern cloud development. Collaborates with teams to analyze, recommend, and help build processes, procedures, and automated tools in a DevOps environment.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, you must meet the specialized experience below.

One year of specialized experience at the GS-13 grade level that equipped you with the skills needed to perform the job duties.
Specialized experience is defined as extensive experience in cloud computing technologies and current computing trends. Demonstrated skills in the following functional areas: Cloud Architecture & Integration, Cloud Implementation/Migration, Cloud Data and Security.

NOTE: Your resume must clearly show the specialized experience related to this position. Failure to demonstrate how you possess the experience requirements will result in an "Ineligible" rating.

4. Effective communication skills (written and verbal) to properly articulate complicated cloud reports tomanagement and other stakeholders.

5. Experience using cloud architecture principles: compute, storage, network, and security.
