As a Staff Accountant, you will prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance and general ledger reconciliation. You will be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. You will assist with the development and implementation of accounting policies. In addition, you will play an active role in compliance, collaborate with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules for the reporting processes. This position is very involved as it will produce Cash Flow projections, Budgets, and Financial Statements. How you will make an impact - Support capital lease and monthly payment schedules - Participate in various initiatives spanning multiple departments - Report on a wide variety of financial data and communicate it in a useful and understandable manner - Participate in the month end, quarter end and year end closing process including monthly financial close workbook preparation - Support implementation, maintenance and adherence to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP - Manage the design and creation of balance sheet analysis and communicate reports to management - Conduct month end close, journal entries, without supervision - Be responsible for account reconciliations including prepaid expenses, payroll, and other assignments - Support fixed asset ledger, depreciation, and reconciliation - Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as requestedJob Requirements:- Current and relevant ERP system experience - Self-starter and strong ethical standards - Outstanding organizational, written and verbal communication skills required - Solid understanding of journal entries - Reconciliations experience required - Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines - Recent and relevant accounting experience - Competent with spreadsheets and databases - Spreadsheet and database capabilities - Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment - High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills - Critical thinking skills and the ability to retain complex work directions - BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics Accountemps, a Robert Half Company, matches highly skilled professionals with accounting finance jobs on a temporary and temporary-to-hire basis.
