TEKsystems is seeking a Senior level Data Center Technician to support their regional data center refresh and EU data Centers in the Baltimore Region- Owings Mills, Baltimore and Woodlawn-EOB This person will be responsible for leveraging Schneider's Struxureware application suite for Data Center Infrastructure and Facility management, maintaining the ServiceNOW tickets for Data center preparation for hardware and infrastructure changes(Servers) to support the business. This person will review tickets for other technology teams and validate the space, cooling, power and network connectivity for the gear. They will be collaborating with the Network Team Server Teams to make sure the prep is done to handle technology infrastructure changes. Should be able to understand and use basic Microsoft Office tools. * Should be able to understand how to read network topologies and/or blueprints. * Install Fiber optic cabling to ensure network connectivity is at optimal performance levels Must be able to work independently Day to Day: * Check emails * Check ServiceNow for Incidents/Tickets * Install/test/terminate/label cables for various types of servers, storage devices, security devices, and network devices. * Install network devices and security devices * Troubleshoot cabling issues as they come in * Communicate with various teams of people to complete various projects, installs or retirements * Escort of various Telco vendors such as Verizon or AT&T, typically on installs * Must be able to lift at least 50lbs.
