ICAP Program Coordinator

The George Mason University Mason Enterprise Center and the VA Small Business Development Center (SBDC) invites applications for an ICAP Program Coordinator. Responsibilities: The ICAP Program Coordinator provides overall support and coordination for ICAP programming and operations, including course offerings and other events, check-in calls, and specialized counseling sessions, as well as on-going program promotion.

Specific duties: * Engage with ICAP companies to track their status in the program, ensure they are meeting deadlines, and compiling action items assigned by their Adjunct Instructor; * Update client profiles to track attendance, required document filings, participation, and on-going work; * Assist in the planning and execution of ICAP events, such as course offerings, monthly calls, reunions, small group sessions, and partner gatherings. This work can include sending communications, making A/V preparations, and tracking attendance for both in-persona and virtual programming; * Create and send out announcements and routine procedural messages, as directed, in conjunction with ICAP and related programs; * Help ICAP clients, as needed, with the online platforms to upload their work; * Attend in-person and virtual sessions, as needed, to assist with logistical support; * Create and update program materials, as needed; * Assist ICAP Adjunct Instructors, as needed, in their work with ICAP teams; * Help identify, schedule, and prepare speakers for ICAP programming; * Assist with remote logistics for ICAP courses and events including, coordinating with local TAs, providing training and instruction to local counterparts, as needed, and report any problems or issues to ICAP managers in a timely fashion; * Other duties as assigned by the Director and/or Program Coordinator.

Required Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree r an equivalent combination of college education and work experience; * 2 years of professional work experience.

Preferred Qualifications: * Demonstrated interest in technology commercialization, high-growth company development, and entrepreneurship education; * Experience in coordinating events and engaging with large groups; * Strong communications and interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with academic, government, industry, technology, non-profit, and international partners, executives, and organizations; * Basic knowledge of A/V equipment operation, Google Drive, Docs and other software programs, and an ability to learn other related computer programs.
