This is an excellent opportunity within the real estate industry that boasts competitive salary and excellent benefits. The role will also provide valuable experience and exposure, including SOX compliance and SEC reporting. The Senior Accountant will report to the Controller and will be responsible for the following:* Preparation of monthly journal entries and review of entries prepared by Staff Accountant* Monthly bank and general ledger reconciliations* Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports* Assist with the preparation of audit schedules required by external auditors* Assist with depreciation reports and yearly tax filings* Assist with month-end close* Management of Fixed Assets, including reconciliations of Fixed Assets subledger to general ledger* Various cash management tasks, including preparation of bank wires and assisting with A/P process as neededJob Requirements:Candidates for this position should meet the following requirements:* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field* 2-5 years experience in accounting, public accounting experience w/ real estate clients strongly preferred* Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel* Strong analytical mindset and ability to work independently* Excellent written and verbal communication skillsFor more information on this role or any of the others that we are currently working on, send an updated resume to Matt Shoe (matthew.shoe@roberthalf.com) in confidence.Robert Half Finance & Accounting matches skilled finance and accounting professionals in the areas of accounting, bookkeeping, finance, audit, taxation and more on a full-time basis.
