We would love for you to be apart of our growing team at DISTRICT JERK: JERKNITE We have been in business since 2014 and have grown immensely and are in need of new team members to continue our quest to grow our business and become a franchise with multiple locations in the DMV area. We have over 22K followers on Instagram and have a healthy fan base on all social media sites and the surrounding areas of the H street neighborhood, Howard, GW and Georgetown Universities. We are in the midst of renovating our store location at 1100 H Street NE. We are looking for chefs, cooks, culinary artists, and kitchen managers to help with managing our food trucks and opening our brick and mortar location within the next few months. We are looking to train and hire immediately Line Cook Job Responsibilities: Sets up and stocks food items and other necessary supplies. Prepares food items by cutting, chopping, mixing, and preparing sauces. Cooks food items by grilling, sauting, and other cooking methods to specified recipes and standards. Maintain cleanliness and complies with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage. Cleans and sanitizes cooking surfaces at the end of the shift. Line Cook Qualifications/Skills: Basic written and verbal communication skills Organizational skills Accuracy and speed in executing tasks Ability to work as a team member Follows directions and instructions Education and Experience Requirements: High school diploma or GED One to two years of experience as a line cook, restaurant cook, or prep cook Experience with various cooking methods and procedures Familiar with industry best practices Please send your resume to for immediate consideration
