Provide daily oversight to project managers, maintaining project momentum and timeliness. Provide oversight of the project start to finish; ensure that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhere to approved budgets. Ensure all departments come together in a timely manner to complete the overall goals. Empower the project managers to stay within approved start dates, budget, and completion dates, facilitate the plan of action and manage all steps and action; provides oversight and leads the team to yield a successful completion of each project. Responsible for the productivity and actions of the Marketing Project Management team and serves as point of contact for project management and related issues. Responsibilities * Manage and mentor the Marketing Project Management team; ensure the team has proper resources to successfully execute their roles; provide support and feedback, and develop solutions when appropriate * Provide day-to-day guidance and oversight on all project management workload, tasks and projects; maintain a holistic view of current and future workload * Oversee project plans and timing on marketing campaigns and projects * Oversee and ensure team development and training * Ensure all PMs manage the project lifecycle from concept through planning, analysis, design, testing, and implementation * Provide solutions to critical issues, delays or roadblocks that will affect timing and completion * Collaborate with leadership to coordinate, execute and maintain programs and initiatives and presents conclusions and serve as strategic advisor with recommendations to management * Maintain working knowledge of the overall Marketing process; provide recommendations for improvements where appropriate * Manage and track team workload allocations and project hours to assist with the project prioritization determinations; adjust assignments to meet fluctuating workload * Oversee project progress to ensure project documentation and schedules are in compliance with agreed requirements and standards * Maintain product knowledge and relationships with marketing cross-discipline teams * Ensure all marketing projects, deliverables and processes are managed within the project management tool* Identify and resolve obstacles, operational and performance gaps; make recommendations and implement approved changes and improvements * Perform supervisory/managerial responsibilities- Ensure adequate/skilled staffing; select employees- Establish performance goals and priorities- Prepare, conduct and review performance appraisals- Develop, mentor and counsel staff- Ensure efficiency of operations- Ensure section/branch goals and objectives align with division/department strategy- Ensure efficiency of operations* Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications * Significant strategic planning and project management skills that demonstrate a thorough knowledge of product areas* Significant organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities, and exercise a high degree of initiative* Significant interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels of management and staff* Advanced knowledge of marketing, project management, corporate communications principles, and marketing corporate communication* Advanced skill to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a demanding, fast paced environment* Extensive experience in working and participating in cross-functional, multi-dimensional teams and projects* Extensive experience in leading, guiding and mentoring others* Advanced skill maintaining accuracy with attention to detail and meeting deadlines* Significant experience to compile, organize and present information clearly and concisely* Advanced skill exercising initiative and using good judgment to make sound decisions* Advanced skill with database, word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software* Desired - A PMP, or Project Management Professional certification* Desired - Working knowledge of Navy Federal's functions, philosophy, operations and organizational objectives* Desired - Knowledge of systems and software used at Navy Federal* Desired - Working knowledge of state and Federal laws; industry regulations, principles, and practices; and company policies that govern the business unit's products/services Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:30AM - 4:30PM Location: 820 Follin Lane, Vienna, Virginia 22180 Equal Employment Opportunity Navy Federal values, celebrates, and enacts diversity in the workplace.
