The primary purpose of this job is to be responsible for the strategic design and delivery of PenFed's Performance Management and Development priorities. This position will develop and implement talent strategies, practices and programs all aimed at achieving maximum employee engagement and creating a competitive advantage through the strength and depth of internal employee capabilities.ResponsibilitiesReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. This is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of job duties and the position will perform other duties as assigned. Key internal expert and program owner of Performance Management and Development. Provide thought leadership and influence at top levels of the organization to drive PenFed's culture, business success and high individual performance. Maintain business acumen through continuous learning and research in the field. Manage all aspects of the ongoing performance management process and strategy: Talent Management System (TMS) configuration, Ensure leaders understand the purpose and value of performance management by informing, training and coaching on all aspects of the performance management lifecycle, Assess quality of leader conversations and feedback, design learning strategies to educate on improving these conversations, Creates a learning strategy for deployment, execution, and quality for all key stakeholder roles. Partner with senior leaders (M-team +) to set and properly cascade goals from PenFed's strategy. Partner with leaders and HRBPs on creating performance improvement plans to close performance gaps. Develop and deploy robust communications (all employee and manager +) to align with PenFed's culture and drive high performance. Design and propose a robust performance management strategy to support pay for performance and effectively differentiate performance. Inclusive, but not limited to: Design performance calibration sessions to ensure proper talent benchmarking, so that rating decisions are differentiated and made in a fair and transparent manner, Coach leaders on writing effective performance reviews and holding meaningful, ongoing conversations with their employees, Recognizing parallel performance cycles based on compensation structure. Design and implement succession programs to ensure PenFed is posed for future success by identifying key roles and key talent in strategic areas of the business (9 Block, HiPo Mapping etc.). Coordinate with senior leaders to implement development actions for building bench strength in the management and individual contributor ranks. Analyze performance data to develop new or emerging strategies to drive continuous performance improvement at the individual and team level. Identify gaps and execute plans to resolve. Partner with vendor partners as appropriate to drive PenFed's leadership model which will serve as the basis for behavioral expectations at PenFed.Qualifications Bachelor's Degree required in a related field required. Advanced degree is a plus. Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive and extensive performance management research, theory and application experience. Minimum of two (2) years of project management experience. Previous performance management experience and led the performance management process transformation efforts. Demonstrated ability to build strategic partnerships with key business partners. Ability to develop and deliver training materials at all levels within the organization Excellent presentation and communication skills. Experience with performance management administrative systems and tools.
