The mission of Friendship Public Charter School is to prepare students to become ethical, literate, well-rounded and self-sufficient citizens by providing a world-class education that motivates students to reach high academic standards, to enjoy learning, to achieve success, and to contribute actively to their communities.Supervises the classroomFacilitates the Friendship Cares academic and enrichment curricula, as prescribedComplete daily attendance accurately and on-timeHelps with the general housekeeping tasksMaintains a professional attitude and loyalty to the school and program at all timesTreats all children with dignity and respectAttends all staff meetings and recommended training programs and conferencesHelps to maintain a neat and organized classroomHelps children establish good habits of personal hygieneAttends school functionsSupervises all activities to ensure safety at all timesReports to the Extended Day Site Coordinator any problem which may occur with the childrenCompletes Incident Reports promptly and accuratelyPerforms additional program duties as assigned by the Extended Day Site Coordinator according to the school s needsParticipates in dismissal procedures at the end of after care, ensuring that each child leaves with the appropriate adultGreets parents and children with salutations and smilesMaintains a professional attitude and loyalty to the school at all timesWorks with other staff members to form a positive, supportive team atmosphereParticipates in Parent Open House, Back-to-School Night prior to schoolParticipates in required and recommended training programs, conferences, courses, and other aspects of professional growth, maintaining current knowledge of early childhood practiceMust be at least eighteen (18) years of age and meet the requirements of the licensing agency.Must have a warm and friendly personality, be sensitive to the feelings and needs of others, be able to relate well to children, and be willing to fulfill responsibilities in accordance with the School s program and Have earned, an associate s or more advanced degree from an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation, with a major in education or child and youth development; orHave earned at least forty-eight (48) semester credit hours, or its recognized equivalent, from an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation, of which at least nine (9) semester credit hours, or its recognized equivalent, shall be in child and youth development, and have at least six (6) months of supervised occupational experience working with school age children under the age of fifteen (15) years at a duly authorized school or camp, a licensed Child Development Center, or the equivalent; orHave earned a high school diploma and a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, and have at least one (1) year of supervised occupational experience working with school age children under the age of fifteen (15) years at a duly authorized school or camp, a licensed Child Development Center, or the equivalent.FPCS s policy is to provide equal employment opportunity to all qualified applicants and employees regardless of their race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, marital status, genetic information, veteran status, status as a special disabled veteran, or any other protected criteria as established by federal, state, or local laws.
