The Corporate Support System (CSS) Customs Application Team has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer - .NET to join our team and make significant contributions to our technology operations. The Senior Software Engineer will work with a talented team to develop, deliver and maintain the custom applications for HR and Financial solutions at GEICO. The Senior Software Engineer will support various custom applications and development technologies such as Java, .Net, SSIS, SSRS and Atlassian. This is a great opportunity to grow your skills and contribute to the 2nd largest auto insurance carrier in the US. Required Qualifications: * 3+ years of enterprise application development experience in building .NET * Strong understanding of .NET Framework and .NET Core along with their associated runtime environments * Experience using SQL Server Management Studio (SMS), SQL Reporting Services (SSRS), and SQL Server Integration Service (SSIS) * Experience with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) * Strong conceptualization, problem-solving, and analytical skills * Ability to work closely with business, analysts, and developers as part of a team in a fast-paced environment * Ability to effectively interface and collaborate with non-IT teams across the organization * Ability to verbalize and communicate technical issues to non-technical audiences * Experience working with remote resources * Must be organized and able to prioritize tasks as well as given assignments * Ability to think strategically and be innovative in a team oriented environment * IT Project management skills * Strong critical thinking, decision making and problem-solving skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills * Being a team player plus possess the ability to work independently * Experience working with collaboration tools such as WebEx Teams, Microsoft Teams, or Slack * Experience with Continuous integration tools on Azure Databricks using Jenkins, Subversion, Cruise Control * Ability to define build pipelines with Azure DevOps with define stages of CI/CD pipeline using YAML Responsibilities Include: * Production support including triage and 24x7 on-call rotation to ensure a high availability and stable environment for our customers * Meeting established Service Level Agreements Communicate diplomatically with customers and stakeholders both via email and verbally * Working with peers, improving processes and support for remote customers * Manages the development and production support with onshore and offshore team members * Oversee and streamline the handling and resolution of trouble tickets * Attending the daily Scrum calls and updating artifacts * Supporting multiple projects concurrently under tight deadlines Desired Qualifications: * Understanding both the On-Prem and Cloud Windows Server environments * Understanding of the different Cloud Services (SaaS, IaaS, PaaS) * Understanding of Atlassian Products (Jira, Confluence, Service Desk) * Experience with Agile best practices * Experience with PowerShell * Workday Experience, including, but not limited to reports, bp's, and integrations #LI-ME1 #DI-ME Note: The safety of our associates, both current and future, is GEICO's highest priority.
