We are seeking a LINUX/Windows Systems Administrator in Washington, DC, to support our customer at the Naval Research Laboratory, located off of 295 and the Wilson Bridge, (Washington, DC). * Provide support to the senior level infrastructure technical manager. * Responsible for a suite of hardware comprising LINUX, Oracle Enterprise Linux and Windows (Limited) operating systems (the infrastructure will consist of virtual systems supporting a variety of projects to include development environments to high availability operational environments) * Responsible for providing hands-on support, maintenance, performance monitoring, and optimization of 50 plus servers in a thin client environment REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: * BS degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or related technical field and 5 years of systems administration experience (11 years of experience in lieu of a degree). * System administration and configuration experience in LINUX * System administration and configuration experience in VMWARE and/or RHEV * System configuration experience with Enterprise Identity Management tools (LDAP, IPA, etc.) * Security+ CE certification * Experience in VM lifecycle management (snapshots) * System configuration experience with SAN's (NetApp/Panasas) * System administration experience in Windows. * System administration experience in SOLARIS. * Experience with thin client systems accessing server based architectures. * Candidate must have a current TS/SCI level security clearance PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: * ICD 503 or DCID 6/3 experience * Experience preparing and presenting technical information in the form of PowerPoint briefings and white papers * Ability to effectively communicate and work within a multi-contractor team We are an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
