Hughes Network Systems is seeking a Senior Data Specialist to support the North American Division of this worldwide satellite telecommunications company. As a Data Specialist you ll be responsible for building out and improving the company's data integration/management in support of Customer Experience performance improvements. Responsibilities: Lead the technology strategies from a database perspective to align with corporate priorities and goals. Drive secure solutions that perform well and scale with the organization. Architect the proper data model for Application performance and reporting visualization Acquire data from different data sources, correlate, and map data to develop new integrated data sets using business logic Develop and implement data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and data quality Create interactive visualizations, dashboards and reproducible reports to share your findings and recommendations with the internal team and other stakeholders. Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports. Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets Collaborate with leaders and managers to determine and address data and reporting needs for various company projects. Basic Requirements: Bachelor s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Statistics, Applied Math, Business Administration, or any other related field. 3+ years of experience with data analysis, SDLC, SQL, tableau, VBA/Excel Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Statistics, Applied Math, Business Administration, or any other related field Academic background in machine learning, probability and statistics and linear algebra. Well versed with Python an R as key programming languages to use for data science. Working knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS and/or Azure.
