Summary

OPEN TO THE PUBLIC

The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Facility Manager for the HQ Air Combat Command (ACC) Directorate of Intelligence (A2).

Responsibilities

  • Oversees facility management resources including service contracts, financial programs, space utilization and information resources.
  • Performs duties as Facility Manager. Attends staff meetings, working groups, and coordinates with various personnel to accomplish facility work, must have full oversight and understanding facility operations.
  • Implements and evaluates programs to manage facility safety risks, facility fire safety risks, facility response to emergencies, and risk management associated with physical security, hazardous materials and waste.
  • Plans, organizes, and oversees all unit-level deployment activities. Using established guidance, develops and implements home-station military workload mitigation plans to maximize deployable capability.

  • Must obtain/maintain Top Secret security clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI)
  • PCS expenses if authorized will NOT be paid IAW JTR and Air Force Regulations
  • This is a Pre-Employment and Random Drug Testing designated position
  • This posn is subject to provisions of the DoD Priority Placement Program
  • Must be registered for Selective Service, see Legal and Regulatory Guide
  • Serves on call and may be required to be available after duty hours when problems arise. The incumbent is subject to call seven days a week, 24 hours a day. May be required to carry phone during on-and-off duty
  • The employee may be required to travel in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments

Qualifications

This is a GG-12 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-12 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-12 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: knowledge of the principles, concepts and practices concerning moderately complex technical requirements for the maintenance and upkeep of facilities infrastructure and associated installed equipment and including facility digital control systems; knowledge of safety and security practices and budgeting principles, concepts, and practices for Air Force facilities and organizations, especially for Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIF), classified Information Technology systems and Government Purchase Card (GPC). Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:

1. Knowledge of the principles, concepts and practices concerning moderately complex technical requirements for the maintenance and upkeep of facilities infrastructure and associated installed equipment and including facility digital control systems.
2. Knowledge of safety and security practices and budgeting principles, concepts, and practices for Air Force facilities and organizations, especially for Sensitive Compartmented Information Facilities (SCIF), classified Information Technology systems and Government Purchase Card (GPC).
3. Knowledge of methods, procedures, and skills in evaluating and performing deployment operations to identify and meet deployment requirements.
4. Knowledge of a wide-range of federal and agency deployment/mobilization concepts, principles, practices, procedures, regulations, and laws applicable to the full range of UDM management responsibilities.
5. Skill to determine deficiencies and prepare complete documentation for new construction or repair and alteration projects.

PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
