ESSENTIALS DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:* Develops, seeks approval for and maintains a project plan in accordance with industrystandards, guidelines and practices.* Builds and maintains relationships with stakeholders and agency personnel.* Directs work planning and scheduling for project activities.* Tracks and manages project progress against the project plan* Serves as the primary point of contact for all project-related issues and resolution ofissues.* Maintains up-to-date project financials.* Identifies and manages project risks, develops risk mitigation strategies and tracks riskresolution to closure.* Captures and reports project management performance metrics.* Insures constant alignment between project stakeholders and project activities throughrobust communications.* Integrates requisite organizational change management processes into the project's planand execution.* Build and manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders as needed toachieve the mission of the agency.* Plans and executes an appropriate training program for project users.* Prepares a comprehensive "lessons learned" artifact and debrief for project stakeholdersand other related parties.* Plans for a smooth transition to the maintenance and operations phase of the technologylife cycle.* Obtains ultimate stakeholder approval sign-off at project completion.* Performs a formal project close-out.* Performs business analysis functions, as appropriate.REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:* Excellent writing and oral communications skills.* Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.* Strong conflict resolution skills.* Ability to read and understand construction drawings (architectural, mechanical andelectrical systems) and related documentation.QUALIFICATIONS:* At least seven (7) years of experience in managing IT related projects and mustdemonstrate a leadership role in at least three successful projects that were delivered ontime and on budget.* At least three (3) years of experience managing IT infrastructure projects including wiredand wireless network installations and upgrades; cable and wiring; facility relocations;security system implementations; large equipment deployments; mobile equipment andsupport.* At least three (3) years of experience establishing, negotiating and managing serviceagreements with providers of IT infrastructure including hardware, software and networkcomponents.Job Requirements:Summarizing project status to project stakeholdersManage project resources across multiple projects or project phasesPresent project information to project teamCommunicate project status to project teamFacilitating project status meetings and communicating project status to key project stakeholdersResolve project issues and manage project risksManage project budget and project resource allocationManage project timelines using accepted project management methodologyServe as project lead on projects with multiple project management staffMeet project objectives while managing project hoursValidating project budget against estimated project costsManage project artifacts for the projectPrepare project plans, manage and track project execution activities for project teamsAchieve project objectives across the project portfolioMonitor project execution/performance, project reporting and project resource allocationsCreate project briefs and project schedulesSupport defined project plans and project goalsUpdating internal project management systemComplete project deliverables in accordance with project planLead the project team to ensure project objectives
