Our client is looking for a Software Engineer in the 0-5 years of experience range programming in Java and C++ on a Linux OS. This engineer will be supporting Submarine Warfare programs for the US Navy. These products range from sonar/acoustic systems to para-scopes to anti-submarine warfare sensors. This engineer will be responsible for the design, development and testing of software for the Navy and other services. These products are principally built using C++ and JAVA, operating in a LINUX environment. This project is a legacy program for Lockheed Martin that is receiving upgrades and modifications. 70% upgrades and modifications, 30% bug fixes and maintenance. 10% Design of Modifications 40% Programming mod/upgrades in Java and C++ 20% Programming bug fixes in Java and C++ 15% Uniting Testing Best vs Average: The best engineers on staff are people who can not only be passionate about engineering but would represent the customer well in front of clients.
