The Tier II Helpdesk shall provide phone, email, web, and in-person support to users in the areas of e-mail, directories, computer operating systems, desktop applications for all types of computer systems, and applications developed or deployed under this contract

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the first point of contact for troubleshooting hardware/software, all types of computer systems (PC and Mac), and printer problems
  • Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems, along with assistance in network equipment or software migration(s).
  • Provide problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems. Troubleshoots and resolves complex problems to ensure minimal disruption of mission-critical applications.
  • Analyze and resolves complex problems associated with server hardware, applications and software integration.
  • Establish network policies and procedures regarding access methods and time, and security validation checks.
  • Maintain network security; ensures that security procedures are implemented and enforced.
  • Manage network performance, maintains fault-tolerant systems and manages system backups.
  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant hardware and software applications.
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 3 years of relevant experience
  • Active SEC for 8570 compliance
  • (Computing Environment (CE) certification for Windows 7/10 desktop certification) within 6 months after starting position
  • Secret Clearance Required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to solve complex problems utilizing creative thinking skills.
  • Good communication and customer interface skills.
  • Ability to analyze and understand the systems and communicate system requirements to the customer and leadership.
  • Ability to travel when required.
  • Ability to meet eligibility requirements of a government security clearance for access to classified information
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, to include MS Outlook, MS Teams, MS Project, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, MS Word, and VISIO

  • The employee will normally work in a temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment.
  • During visits to areas of operations, may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
