This is your chance to join our team - help us to design the infrastructure and buildings that improve the world!We are looking for Construction Inspectors of all levels with Bridge and Roadway construction experience to join our growing team We are constantly winning new contracts and are looking for new inspectors to staff these projects.Job Description:We have immediate openings for Construction Inspectors and Sr. Construction Inspectors with Bridge and Roadway experience for VDOT and Local Government projects in the VDOT Culpeper and Fredericksburg District. Highly qualified and experienced transportation Construction Inspector desired whom have worked on VDOT, locality and/or Design-Build projects. The Inspector is responsible for managing and performing daily construction management and inspection services for various types of VDOT and locality transportation projects. Must have experience in transportation construction, have VDOT certifications, be proficient at reading and interpreting plans, specifications, and shop drawings as well as overseeing construction document controls and enforcing contract compliance.Discipline: Transportation (Highway, Bridge, and Maintenance)Qualifications:Inspectors must have a minimum of three (3) years of specific field construction inspection experience in the specified areas listed belowSenior Inspectors must have a minimum of six (6) years of specific field construction inspection experience in the specified areas listed belowMust have a High School Diploma or State Equivalency Certificate. Bachelor's Degree or other advanced certificate desirableInspection Skills:Applicants must have demonstrated inspection and management experience with roadway and bridge construction, utility construction, and related pavement rehabilitation projects requiring monitoring a contractor's work for conformance to the design plans, specifications and general permit requirementsMust have experience in coordinating inspection duties with multiple simultaneously operating crewsMust have experience tracking daily quantities, completing daily inspection reports, performing monthly estimates and as-built drawingsExperience working on interstate bridge projects desired Additional Training or Certifications - candidates are required to possess all the certifications below at the time of hire or the applicable certifications required for client assignments.
