Visit CBRE.com.JOB SUMMARY Under general supervision, installs, calibrates, repairs, and performs preventive and reactive repair maintenance of electronic, electro-mechanical, and/or mechanical & analytical lab instrumentation. Will provide back-up support to critical functions as required. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for acting in accordance with appropriate client and CBRE company policies and procedures. Complete all required training. Disassembles, inspects, cleans, repairs, calibrates, tests, and performs periodic maintenance of specialty equipment, systems, and controls to include selected technique groups such as HPLC, GC, Liquid Handling, Automation, Optical Systems, Biology and Chemistry Analyzers. Operating the tools and equipment necessary to perform the essential duties and responsibilities. Performs basic to complex repairs and coordinates the removal/replacement of instruments/devices needing overhaul during scheduled maintenance. Reinstalls, tests, evaluates, calibrates, and maintains instruments or devices upon completion of repairs. Locates part sources, estimates costs and prepares requisitions. Communicates with customer staff and outside contractors in the calibration, repair, and operation of equipment, as necessary. Documents daily records of inspections, maintenance activity, repairs, and other work performed within approved guidelines and procedures. Capture and distribute post service-related documents as well as video and written training documentation. Escalate instrument performance concerns or breakdown support for resolution to higher level staff or specialty vendors. Provide support to LIS Analyst for IndySoft database audits. Create Hololens training videos produced from PM and Repair activities. Provide support for shipping and return of assets out for Depot repairs. Performs other duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. Provides informal assistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to coworkers. EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required and a minimum of two years of related experience and/or training. Associates degree in scientific field of study preferred or equivalent related work experience.One to Five years of experience in instrumentation or installing, calibrating, maintaining and repairing lab analytical equipment or equivalent experience is preferred. CERTIFICATES and/or LICENSES Must have appropriate license or certification where required. COMMUNICATION SKILLSStrong written and verbal skills. Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to professionally respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and/or supervisor.
