Job Description: Support a wide array of design, development, integration, and testing activities associated with both embedded flight and ground support systems.Support the design, development, and integration of automated functional test (AFT) systemsSW QA/ Test engineer will support the design and implementation of automated functional test procedures, user interface displays, and test reports within the Advanced Spacecraft Integration and System Test (ASIST) system environment.Support the development of detailed test documentation including: test plans, work orders, test descriptions, test procedures, test reports, requirements verification matrices, etc.Will work closely with the development team throughout the mission life cycle to iteratively add new test capabilities and regression test existing capabilities.Support includes system checkout at various testbed facilities for test campaigns (including environmental testing) to demonstrate overall mission capabilities.Developing or using ground tools to support FSW system integration and test. Work Environment: First Day: They need to be strong in testing high rel SW. Need to build automated test solutions.Best V Aver: THey ideally have NASA exp. IDeally know ASIST and STOLTest descr: They could flex on the yrs. They flexed on industry to any regulated ones.Disq: Not enough test focus. No exp in the regulated industry side.Perf meas: quarterly reviews Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, comp sci, mathematics, physics, or closely related field with 3+ years of experienceExperience performing system verification and validation at NASA or within the aerospace or automotive industry or another related highly regulated industry.Must be able to support work outside core hours for flight hardware integration and testing effortsMust have experience in designing, developing, and executing automated hardware/software functional tests.Must have experience in writing / maintaining technical and test documentation (as noted above).Desired Skills (Not Required):Ability to build/debug software via a command-line interface using tools like make, CMake, gdb, etc.Experience developing and executing complex hardware/software systems tests through the use of Telemetry/Command systems (eg ASIST, ITOS, COSMOS)Experience developing, debugging, maintaining automated test procedures/scripts (eg STOL) to test complex spaceflight / aerospace hardware/software systemsExperience with dynamics simulation environments for testing aerospace systemsExperience with version control systems (eg Git)Experience with scripting languages (eg Python, Perl)Experience writing technical documentation via markup languages (eg LaTeX, Markdown, AsciiDoc)Experience with developing complex systems / solutions with programing languages (eg C/C++, Java)Experience with unit test frameworks (eg cunit, cppunit)Experience with the Core Flight System framework from a user or developer perspectiveHighly motivated, self-starter, with ability to learn quickly and complete tasks with limited supervisionExperience with Ground Support Equipment developmentExperience with lab instrumentation (eg logic analyzers, scopes) / equipment for troubleshooting hardware/software systems About Aerotek:We know that a company's success starts with its employees.
