Job DescriptionThe RN manages the direct patient care of an identified patient or group of patients. The RN assumes the primary responsibility and accountability for the delivery of all patient care. The RN may delegate the responsibility to perform nursing tasks to individuals on the healthcare team (LPN, PCT, NA) who are competent to perform these acts or tasks.
