ResponsibilitiesOn behalf of Perspecta Enterprise Solutions, this position will support one of our Government clients for infrastructure services that includes cloud, security, network, program management, and operations and maintenance. This position will support the infrastructure Dedicated Cloud services in support of IT Modernization efforts. This includes supporting legacy applications and databases and continuing to consolidate disparate Legacy IT Enterprise capabilities and enhancing the underlying infrastructure to support the legacy applications, and provide a cloud native/centric environment for all new IT projects and objectives. This is a senior level position that requires someone with good leadership and hands-on experience managing a large and complex IT environment. Working as expert and in collaboration with other team members to ensure the stability and operational efficiency of the infrastructure environment. Produces high-quality papers, presentations, recommendations, and findings for senior US government intelligence and operations officials. QualificationsRequires 10 years experience or BS/BA with a minimum 6 years experience.It is required that the Information Systems Security Engineer has the following qualifications and experience:Providing security systems and tools management related to on premise, cloud and hyrid cloud technologies.Investigating and analyzing existing cloud structures and creating enhanced security methods that will enhance the security of cloud-based environments. Managing and executing technologies and processes that affect assigned global Information Protection capability, such as issue identification and resolution, documentation, integration with other tools, gap resolution, gap assessment, and continuous improvement of the capability.Keeping the infrastructure current, making recommendations, and participating in the implementation and continuous improvement of technologies and services for the agencies information security domains. Providing guidance on security strategies, processes, response and technologies to security operations and other teams.Providing support on Incident Response for security incidents.Developing business cases and presentations on information security technologies for presentation to the agency. Advising and supporting project teams, application owners, and other Information Security teams on information security controls.Experience in the analysis, design, development, and operation of security applications, shell scripts, tests, and infrastructure automation capabilities in an advanced security context. Ability to work well in cross functional team of analysts, engineers, infrastructure and data teams to achieve continuous improvement in cyber defense/resilience.Experience in preparing, maintaining and updating security documentation, policies, processes and controls including Information Security Governance. Performing and responding to both internal and external security auditsExpertise in cyber security, firewalls, network security, virtualization, cloud services, information assurance, Linux, UNIX, security information and event management (SIEM), application security, security engineering, and security architecture.It is strongly preferred that the Engineer has the following qualifications:Global Information Assurance Certification (GIAC) certificationSecurity Plus CertificationCertified Ethical Hacker CEH CertificationCertified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) About PerspectaWhat matters to our nation, is what matters to us.
