The APHC's mission is to promote health and prevent disease, injury, and disability of Soldiers and military retirees, their families, and the Department of the Army civilian employees. This position is based in Aberdeen and is 100% remote until COVID-19 pandemic restrictions are lifted. In this role, a typical day will include: Providing statistical guidance and developing strategies and recommendations for study design and statistical analysis. Writing or reviewing statistical section of protocols, preparing analysis plans, and writing detailed specifications for analysis files, consistency checks, tables, and figures. Interpreting analyses and writing statistical sections of study reports. Communicating with data managers, study personnel, and other clients regarding statistical design, programming, and analysis. Analyzing health-related data. Assuring that plans and execution of statistical functions meet all applicable regulations, guidance, and procedures. Developing and updating appropriate statistical documentation, and storing documents and data in accordance with applicable regulations and procedures. Establishing, maintaining, and recommending updates to policies and procedures such as documentation of standard operating procedures. Writing in code in Statistical Analysis System (SAS) software package to allow for the desired specifics in data mining. Generating complex queries and reports; participating in the design of data mining and data warehouse systems. Proficiency in arraying complex data in a format easily understood by clinicians and leadership. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum of Master's degree in Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Demography or Master's in a Biological Science Related Field. 8+ years experience in statistical analysis experience, specifically in SAS 3+ years experience analyzing health-related data US Citizenship NACI(T1) clearable PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: PhD in Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Demography or PhD in a Biological Science Related Field.
