And our work depends on TS/SCI level cleared Geospatial Data Engineer joining our team to support our Intelligence customer in Springfield, VA The Geospatial Data Engineer is required to extract and/or acquire geospatial information, derivative information and multi-INT data for analysis and visualization to solve problems and enhance the knowledge of NGA missions. This also includes extracting specific feature data in accordance with the NGA Feature Data Specifications, project specific guidance, and other NGA data and product specifications. Required Skills BS/BA and 8+ years of experience or equivalent years of education and experience At least 3+ years of experience in engineering and managing spatial data infrastructure to include both proprietary and open source technologies. This includes experience conducting data transformations between spatial data formats, QA/QC on data, understanding NSG data schemas, database management, and managing OGC compliant web services. Must have a strong background in Relation Database Management System (RDBMS) and NoSQL concepts and tools to include firm understanding of SQL and Python syntax for ETL workflows. Must be comfortable working in a linux shell environment as well as standard GUI management tools. Prior experience deploying and using PostgreSQL and Postgis extension to manage spatial data. Prior experience deploying and managing open source spatial data web servers such as GeoServer, MapServer, TileserverGL, or similar to enable OGC compliant web services. Comfortable using GDAL, GRASS, GeoPandas, Rasterio, or other open source geoprocessing applications and tools. Prior AWS Development or DevOps experience. Prior Elasticsearch experience creating and managing indexes. Must have a Secret clearance and/or eligible for TS/SCI clearance Job Duties Create, update, and manage geospatial information system databases and products. Obtain, compile and assess geospatial data sets to support requirements. Collaborate with analysts and customers as required. Use a variety of geospatial analysis software suites to accomplish the mission.
