SUMMARY OF DUTIES: The VP of Pricing and Revenue Management is responsible for the vision, direction and daily revenue production of Company s Pricing and Revenue Management Department. They are charged with growing ridership while maximizing passenger revenue across the Company and State Partner network. Responsibilities include managing day-to day operation of the pricing and revenue management functions, designing pricing strategies to grow ridership and revenue, developing pricing sensitivity and passenger demand analyses, developing and executing revenue management optimization strategies, designing business intelligence analytics and tracking, creating the company s revenue decision support strategy, sponsoring projects to enhance revenue and achieving the overall ridership and revenue targets. The VP reports regularly to senior management on the status and progress of Department work as well as recommendations for change or improvement. VP of Pricing and Revenue Management provides a leadership role and vision for revenue enhancing initiatives. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Implements and oversees sound pricing and revenue management practices with an objective to achieve revenue targets by growing ridership and optimizing ticket revenue per available seat mile. Reports results to senior management Oversees the design and development of technology systems to support departmental and corporate objectives, capitalizes on decision support staff and works closely with Company s information technology department Leads the group s effort to establish strong partnerships with Business Lines and State Partners leaders to communicate and recommend strategies to meet revenue and ridership objectives Ensures capacity management support is provided to Corporate and Operations staff through the use of business intelligence and spill modeling Staffs, trains, and manages a group of highly skilled individuals to accomplish pricing and revenue management objectives MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 20+ years of experience in management of Revenue Management and Pricing functions within the transportation and/or hospitality, cruise or similar industry Proven track record of increasing management responsibility, including ability to meet goals, develop budgets and forecasts as well as success in motivating employees, encouraging teamwork and tracking performance Familiarity with information technology systems, knowledge of program management and decision support systems, with experience in relevant differential pricing, analytic and quantitative areas Proven project management skills in addition to strong analytical and problem solving skills Excellent communications skills, including proven written and presentation experience Bachelor s Degree with emphasis in related area Advanced leadership and management skills with proven ability to motivate others; effective writing, presentation, meeting and facilitation skills; interpersonal communication; time management; and conflict resolution and investigation skills Demonstrated experience communicating orally and in writing with the corporation and externally Demonstrated experience simultaneously managing multiple projects and/or programs using appropriate administrative tools and controls. Demonstrated familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (ie Excel, Word and PowerPoint) PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Master s Degree in a related field Transportation, hospitality, cruise or related industry experience Knowledge of revenue analysis and optimization systems Familiarity with Operations Research applications and demand forecasting
