Here you'll find a patient-centered, outcome driven team, and leadership focused on both the patients and the Associates. Each day is different and each patient is different in our 32 bed unit. Our complex surgical patient population, includes: Abdominal Surgeries Vascular Surgery GYN Surgery Urology Surgery Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited nursing program and has experience as a Registered Nurse. NOTE: PRN position must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Registered Nurse Registered Nurse licensed or eligible to practice in Virginia. BSN is preferred; all new Registered Nurses with an Associate's Degree in Nursing will be required to obtain their BSN within five years. CPR, required TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS: Some exposure to communicable diseases or toxic substances, ionizing radiation, therapeutic preparations and other conditions common to a health care environment. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Requires full range of motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Occasionally lifts, carries up to 35 pounds, and pushes items taking up to 50 pounds of initial force. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours. Requires exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids.
