Description SAIC is seeking a UI Software Developer to design and build website front-ends with a strong focus on usability driven by the mission. The UI Developer will work with data scientists and other software developers to build applications that process and analyze high volume data, culminating in user-friendly interfaces with practical outputs and visualizations. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and capable of working in a fast-paced development environment to solve challenging problems. Responsibilities Contribute to the design, development, and testing of the UI/UX for various products using modern standards. Translate requirements into mockups and fully functioning website front-ends. Investigate and seek new and innovative ways to improve the customer experience through the user interface. Work well in a dynamic team environment as well as individually; ready to take on and lead the development of larger UI components. Design wireframes and prototypes, and iterate designs based on usability test results. Develop highly-responsive front end interfaces using modern web technologies and standards. Collaborate with user experience researchers, data scientists, software developers, and other project team members to create innovative, modern, and usable software products. Qualifications US Citizen, capable of obtaining a security clearance. 3+ years of UI/UX development experience. Bachelor's Degree in a field related to software design/development, interaction design, graphics design, related field or additional experience in lieu of degree. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Strong foundation in JavaScript/ES6, JSON, and client-side frameworks (React). Expert at developing user interfaces with the React or Angular frameworks. Highly skilled with HTML5, CSS. Solid understanding of cross browser development and testing. Ability to translate designs and wireframes into high quality code. Experience with state management such as using Redux. Comfortable with Git source code version control software. Experience working within an agile team environment. Work examples such as a design portfolio or website.
