For more information, visit: CNT is looking for a Business Development Manager to focus on managing the capture efforts of our company. This job is primarily responsible for identifying and generating new business opportunities from the federal government and private sector for assigned business(es). Responsible for driving qualified business opportunities to a winning proposal that generates revenue for the company. This opportunity will allow for telecommuting and not limited to the DC Area. The right candidate can reside from any area with a high federal government contracting presence; to include TX, CO, OK, FL, IL, AL, etc. Provide overall leadership of business development/capture activities for a specific opportunity. Manages cogent and timely decisions related to the opportunity, including getting the capture team resourced, determining strategies, teaming and partnering, solution alternatives, and managing the customer relationship. Below are the requirements:Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Effectively prospect potential clients through various lead sources (including cold calling). Develop, manage, and track Federal Govt. opportunities. Maintain responsibilities by gathering complex and data analysis, generating recommendations, communicating results, implementation, and follow up. Create innovative strategies to ensure capture of new business Develop competitive advantages by generating new, moderately complex persuasive marketing approaches to ensure existing concepts remain sold to the customer and the customer accepts new concepts Leverage senior-level leadership and extensive community relationships within the defense industry as well as other government clients. Leverage business development and functional expertise to build addressable market and increased technical solutions development work in the Department of Defense and federal market. Lead complex negotiations with industry partners to build teams in support of large complex procurements. Lead capture for complex and technical bids, including identifying and comprehending clients' requirements and buying patterns, developing complex technical solution options, and building a cost-competitive industry team that can deliver client impact through a winning bid. Manage key stakeholder relationships, keep the business leadership team informed, and engage in advancing strategic partnerships with clients and industry partners. May perform other job-related duties as assigned. Work with manager to develop a sales plan, goals, strategies, budget, etc. and projections for daily, weekly and monthly sales contacts. Produce new contract opportunities and corresponding capture plans that ultimately lead to the successful generation of new and profitable business for the sector Use company sales contact system (eg, Sales Force) and develop processes for system contacts, customer follow-up's, customer screening, etc. Provide weekly reporting on progress of opportunity leads Become involved in local network organizations to identify business opportunities Develop and manage marketing material that increases the company's brand Maintain good communication with the client, supervisor and peers within the organization to ensure feedback is conveyed and appropriately actions are taken Serve as customer liaison; listening and understanding the customer issues and problems, providing a solution if possible, and following through on agreed upon commitments Research, identify and execute the opportunities in appropriate market Develop and incorporate the expansion strategy and plan for company Manage company's resources and promote overall brand awareness Work with multi-function departments to establish goals between customers/clients Assist cross-functional groups with the start-up of new programs Performs other job-related duties as assigned Supervisory/Management Authority: This position will not have management authority or supervisory capacity Education and/or Experience: A Bachelor's Degree in IT or related field required 5 to 8 years of related experience is required At least four (4) years of business development with contracting experience within the federal government is mandatory Experience with 8(a) or tribal source federal contracting is a plus Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Working knowledge of the Federal GSA market and contract vehicles ie Schedule 70, Stars II etc. Firm knowledge of the US government's acquisition process Strong analytical skills and problem solving ability required, including the ability to identify problems and recommend workable solutions. Demonstrate leading large-scale captures and developing complex technical solutions. Proven experience in developing and maintaining effective internal and external business relationships with clients and industry partners for future new business Demonstrated ability to drive business sales and profit growth. Strong analytical skills Ability to lead and work with cross-functional teams and across multiple functions and disciplines.
