Summary This position is located in the (Division) (DRS or Section). As the Supervisory Accessibility Specialist, you will ensure the effective and efficient operation of the ADA Information Line, the signature component of the Department's overall ADA Technical Assistance Program. Duties include: Responsibilities Provides advice and guidance to Information Line staff on how to answer complex questions. Handles and resolves complaints related to service on the Information Line, working with the Supervisory Attorney overseeing the ADA Information Line to take appropriate action to correct any performance or knowledge deficiencies. Ensures effective and efficient operation of the Information Line. Works closely with Department IT and other technical staff to define and acquire the equipment, software, and programming needed to operate the current call system effectively. Maintains records as needed relating to the number and variety of calls received and the costs of operating the Information Line. Assists the Supervisory Attorney overseeing the ADA Information Line in evaluating workload, costs, budget, and staffing level needed to operate the Information Line effectively and efficiently. Researches new issues and/or difficult questions to assist staff and callers, to improve understanding of the ADA and other disability-related civil rights laws, and to keep abreast of policy developments in interpreting these laws. Collects and analyzes data relative to call volume and system capabilities, and prepares information for the review of the Supervisory Attorney overseeing the ADA Information Line for inclusion in Section, Division, and Department reports.
