Here, you can build a career where you make meaningful differences in the lives of others as we fulfill our mission to love, serve, teach and work for justice.This position in contingent upon grant award.The Emergency Response Specialist is responsible for implementation of a COVID-19 emergency cash assistance and food aid initiative funded by the Open Society Institute-Baltimore. The position may also support other emergency initiatives at Esperanza Center including community hotline participation or other efforts to help clients who have experienced hardship as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.The Emergency Response Specialist is responsible for:* Provide direction and oversight to new program design and implementation.* Client outreach, communications, and relationship management with external community partners.* Collaborate with and assist program staff to identify eligible clients and ensure uniform application of eligibility screening procedures.* Coordinates with community partners and serve as a liaison on emergency response community forums.* Provides oversight of data collection. Prepares data and narrative reports in alignment of grant applications and reporting.* Prepares and processes invoices, check requests, field expense vouchers, and other documents related to program expenses (travel, food, material purchases, other as appropriate).* Partners with other team members in the design and implementation of new program policies and procedures.This position requires:* Associate's Degree, or the equivalent combination of education and experience* Bi-Lingual in English and Spanish required.* One year of experience in Human Services, Administration, Volunteer Management, International Relations, Spanish, or related field is desired.* Ability to learn and master database software. Requires the ability to utilize computer systems and software necessary to perform position functions. Basic Windows PC, web browsing (ie Chrome, Internet Explorer, etc.), and Microsoft Outlook skills required. Other Microsoft Office application knowledge, such as Word, Excel PowerPoint, Skype, and OneDrive desired.* Must have reliable transportation to visit multiple sites.
