Thanks, Stephen M Hrutka Principal Consultant www.hruckus.com Position Description: Our client has an opening for a Senior Systems Engineer with 7-10 years of experience to accomplish a variety tasking within a rapid-paced, evolving environment, including customer requirements elicitation, system concept development, architecture, design, development, integration and test, delivery, installation, training, and sustaining engineering support, throughout the life cycle of projects. Position Essential Functions: This position involves detailed systems engineering for programs related to the design, fabrication, prototyping, Integration test & evaluation of high frequency circuits and antennas involving: Design and development of multilayer RF circuits and digital design components In-house or outsourced fabrication of digital and RF circuits Test and characterization of RF circuits in a laboratory environment Field testing of ruggedized RF transceivers as part of larger systems System design and development within Linux & Windows environments Work with data and project managers to understand systems Direction and Coordination of multiple engineering disciplines on projects Elicitation of requirements from customers and other Technical Community stakeholders User Story, Use Case, and CONOPS development Prepare specifications and other technical reports Work with project teams to document architectures (create, review, modify electrical schematics) Create, review, understand, update electrical schematics Design, development, simulation, integration, including requirements analysis/design tradeoffs and developing solutions in accordance with system/product architectures Working with CRM tool set (Atlassian Jira) and supporting plugins Build and maintain solid working relationships with internal customers Must be willing to travel up to 20% of the time Position Qualifications: Bachelor s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a similar field with a focus on RF technology and minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience, or a Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience Active Secret security clearance Preferred Additional Skills: Experience in wireless systems, RF transceiver, antenna tuning Experience performing basic satellite antenna and link evaluations in support of satellite services Experience in embedded SW development and RF systems analysis Experience following up with already existing PCB fabrication processes and developing new ones Experience with business case development Active Top-Secret Clearance Experience with the development of proposals, including the development of technical volume, Cost volume, Basis of Estimates (BOEs), and other supporting documentation for the entire lifecycle of a project. Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), on projects/programs with tools, such as JIRA/Confluence, MagicDraw, DOORS and other RM/PLM tools would also be a bonus.
