Job Description Position Summary The Green Products Specialist is responsible for supporting the development and execution of marketing plans and products for the expansion and ongoing marketing related to WGL Energy Services Green Products suite including, but not limited to, solar, wind, and carbon offsets. The Specialist will develop, implement, track and optimize marketing campaigns across all channels with a focus on digital and lead generation and will be responsible for campaign analysis, reporting, benchmarking and optimizing data-driven marketing campaigns. The Specialist will also help in maintaining of regulatory and industry compliance related to renewable energy and other green products. Tasks and Responsibilities Coordinate with cross-functional department teams to create promotional plans around internally and externally produced content to drive awareness, consideration and demand generation of green products. Collaborate with Sales and Customer Care teams in support of the development of commercial segmentation for lead generation, sales strategies for new sales, and retention of existing customers. Develop and manage nurture campaigns to existing leads using marketing automation software. Manage growth/improvement initiatives with SEO/SEM and social media agencies. Compile and publish regular analytics reports regarding marketing asset performance, monthly or as needed. Oversee the online user experience, including site usability and accessibility; uses HTML coding to create and update webpages and other digital assets, ensures maximum conversion rates and lead generation efforts. Collaborate and coordinate with account managers in the preparation of technical submittals of RFPs that have renewable energy requirements or thresholds such as renewable energy credits and LEED certification. Support compliance and renewal of certifications such as Green Product standards / certifications (eg, Green-e Energy and Climate, LEED, carbon registries). Ensure standards are followed and met. Research and recommend additional certifications that would benefit WGL Energy Services. Establish procedures to implement and report on new standards. Review compliance reports related to the sales of renewable energy or other green products. Maintain a matrix / calendar of all required compliance reporting, in collaboration with Regulatory Affairs. Research proposed regulations, guidelines and policies. Provide subject matter expertise in the development and updating of all Green Product related materials. Verify content for product facts/claims, integrity and brand compliance. Provide pre and post-sale support for commercial Green Product sales including marketing materials Qualifications, Skills and Abilities Bachelors degree required (in business, management, marketing, environmental sciences, economics or related discipline preferred). Minimum of 3 years of experience in marketing, marketing analysis, sales and/or customer service. A masters degree may be substituted for 2 years of experience requirement. Dedication and personal commitment to environmental sustainability strongly preferred. Experience in sales/marketing in the energy industry a plus. Strong project management skills for managing multiple projects, clients and tight timelines. Proficiency in marketing automation software such as Marketo, Eloqua, Pardot or Hubspot preferred. Experience with SQL a plus Expertise in Google Analytics, Adwords and/or Tag Manager preferred Excellent oral and written communication skills, along with a proven ability to draft accurate, concise and appealing marketing pieces. Demonstrated ability establishing rapport and effective working relationships with peers, supervisors and business partners. Excellent verbal and written skills necessary for effective communications with diverse audiences at all levels Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint, to store, retrieve, share, research and present business information.
