Summary

As a Knowledge Management specialist, you will perform duties under the direction of the supervisor in helping to understand and improve the overall performance of the operations of a multi disciplinary organization responsible for the management of a complex real estate portfolio in the National Capital Region.

This position is located in General Services Administration (GSA), Public Buildings Service (PBS), Office of Mission Support and Performance Improvement, in Washington, DC.

Responsibilities

As a Knowledge Management Specialist, you will perform the following duties:

Participate in establishing management protocols across all business lines and synthesize data from various sources, provide recommendations related to policy and process improvements.

Applies knowledge of spatial and pipeline database design, including relational database design, data integration, GIS application software development and spatial analysis, data automation.

Review and/or prepare highly technical reports and/or papers on important and extremely complex issues; provide technical and management support to all aspects of the region's real estate assets.

Identify, analyze, develop and utilize various concepts, solutions, and evaluative techniques in support of sharing data related to workforce management, training and development and other business services provided by the region.

  • Complete a financial disclosure report to verify that no, or appearance of conflict, exists between your financial interest and this position.
  • Complete a "Declaration of Federal Employment" (OF-306) to determine suitability for Federal employment.

The GS-13 salary range starts at $102,663.00 per year.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:

To qualify, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or higher in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as applying knowledge management issues and concepts to develop and apply business information solutions and strategies; skill in identifying, developing, and utilizing various evaluative techniques in support of the sharing of organizational knowledge; gathering information from multiple sources using analytical techniques; and designing and implementing knowledge management systems to optimize the flow of information to support key business functions.

How You Will Be Evaluated

You will be evaluated for this job based on how well you meet the qualifications above.

1. Knowledge of business industry expertise to facilitate regional collaboration in achieving business goals, developing policy and enhancing process.

2. Ability to integrate geo-spatial data, analysis, and mapping into facility operations in order to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of commercial and federal properties in the region.

3. Skill in researching the most sensitive, complex or otherwise controversial issues, utilizing all resources; excellent oral and written communication skills.

Required Documents
