Job ID: 2013655 Location: CHANTILLY , VA , US Date Posted: 2020-08-20 Category: Engineering and Sciences Subcategory: Systems Engineer Schedule: Full-time Shift: Day Job Travel: Yes, 25 % of the Time Minimum Clearance Required: TS/SCI with Poly Clearance Level Must Be Able to Obtain: None Potential for Remote Work: No Description SAIC is seeking a Digital Signal Processing Systems Engineer with experience in areas such as: Digital signal processing and data collection methods Signal processing algorithm development and analysis Stochastics Control systems Working knowledge of RF systems This position is located in Chantilly, VA and requires a TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.A' The following tasks are representative of those that will be accomplished at the request of the customer: Aid in and monitor the development of digital signal processing-based control systems Provide support to launch and satellite on-orbit test as required by the customer Plan and execute internal and external interface testing to support final system verification, validation, and delivery Develop productive relationships with prime contractor counterparts, functional counterparts, and other payload and ground system subject matter experts Support the customer in the oversight of the development and documentation of the specifications associated with his or her assigned area Review complex technical design documentation and provide formal and informal feedback to the COTR, subject matter experts, and other customer personnel Participate in requirement sell off events to ensure program success Liaise with mission analysis and acquisition teams to ensure completeness across the acquisition Qualifications TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; Masters and three (3) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent Experience with MATLAB or equivalent DSP development and analysis tools Available to travel domestically Desired Attributes: Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent Knowledge of SIGINT mission fundamentals Technical understanding of SIGINT architectures and the NRO's ground architectures Understanding of DOD/IC satellite systems and architectures Experience with DOD/IC acquisition and program management processes SAIC is a premier technology integrator solving our nation's most complex modernization and readiness challenges.
