You must apply to both announcements if you want to be considered for both.ResponsibilitiesAs a General Business Specialist, you will perform the following duties:Serve as the principle advisor to the Director and staff members for the Office of the Chief Administrative Officer in the area of acquisition related systems and processes.Manage a wide variety of organizational initiatives related to acquisition and serves as theA' liaison to NOAA's internal and external customers on related subjects by participating in meetings; identifying internal barriers toA' productivity and design action plans.Applies financial risk analysis and commercial credit concepts for government benefits,A' direct loans, grants, evaluating asset values, industry conditions, financial stability and financial performance.Develop and implement program policy; formulate, conduct, lead, manage, and consult on an administrative/business program or policy issues of considerable scope, complexity, and importance to NOAA.Analyze acquisition and customer business processes identifying changes and managing implementation of automated solutions.Travel RequiredNot required Supervisory status No Promotion Potential 4 Requirements Conditions of EmploymentMust be a US Citizen or National to apply.Required to pass a background investigation and fingerprint check.Must be suitable for Federal employment.Must be registered for Selective Service, if applicable (requirements must be met by closing date of announcement.If selected, required to complete OGE Form 450 financial disclosure.This position requires a Moderate Risk Security Clearance.This position will be filled under the DOC Alternative Personnel System (CAPS). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies; knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.A' You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.To qualify at the ZA-4 or GS-13 level:A' SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:A' Applicants must possess one full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the ZA-3 or GS-12A' in the Federal service.
