Appointment type Permanent Work schedule Full-Time Duties SummaryYou will serve as the Director, Program Executive Office, Manpower, Logistics and Business Solutions.This position is a Senior Level position in the federal government. Senior Level employees are in non-executive positions whose duties are broad and complex enough to be classified above GS-15 level. Senior level positions involve highly specialized and complex work.ResponsibilitiesYou will provide acquisition management advice and counsel to the Program Executive Officer (PEO) and Program Managers and ensure cross program coordination and planning both tactically and strategically.You will develop approaches and review documentation of resource requests and budget justifications and participate in program review boards.You will represent the acquisition authority at Department of the Navy (DON) and Department of Defense (DoD) wide meetings, planning/decision processes, and the acquisition authority for research and development, acquisition, and integration efforts.You will make budget allocation recommendations to the PEO and lead the execution of obligations, expenditures, and requests for reprogramming.You will ensure planning efforts, including plans for research, development, and acquisition; strategic plans; and other program planning initiatives are consistent with overall DoD and DON program policy and priorities.You will be responsible to the PEO for the planning and execution of the PEO's strategic vision and administrative operations and support the PEO in ensuring the health and execution of programs and risk mitigation.Travel RequiredOccasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position. You must be certified as a Career Field Program Management (A) Level III. Demonstrated expertise in the fundamentals of Information Technology (IT) program management, systems design, and systems standards as it applies to business systems and services.2. Experience with DoD major acquisition programs (BCAT, SCAT, or ACAT) regulations and acquisition processes.3. Demonstrated ability to a lead large complex organization in the implementation and execution of IT requirements.4. Demonstrated ability performing strategic planning, resource planning, contract management, and program development and execution.5. Comprehensive knowledge of business IT systems and services and agile software development leveraging industry best practices.Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (eg, professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).
