We are growing and looking to fill a critical Government Contract Closeout Billing Specialist role with a highly collaborative and results oriented individual, who will be an integral member of the Project Accounting team collaborating will Program Managers, Contracts, Security, and Finance to ensure accurate contract closeout. If this sounds like you, we look forward to having you join Peraton.What you'll do Prepare complex closeout billings for submissions to customers of various types of government and commercial contracts, accounts analysis and financial reconciliations.Review monthly invoices according to company guidelines utilizing financial reports to ensure compliance with deliverable deadlines. You will analyze and reconcile unbilled receivables against the cost transaction reports from the legacy data warehouse or against the standard Costpoint reportsResearch and resolve a variety of internal and external customer inquiries concerning closeout billing status, and initiate communications to external and internal customers to resolve closeout billing discrepancies and issues.You'd be a great fit if You have Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (preferred) can be substituted with 7 to 10 years of closeout billing experience with major government contractors.You have a minimum of three years of contracts closeout billing experience using Deltek Costpoint 7 and Cognos reporting tool, must be recent (within the last year)Have experience with processing a high volume of invoices monthlyYou have experience processing and validating project type (Time& Material (T&M), Firm Fixed Price (FFP), and Cost Plus (CP) closeout invoices.You are proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel)You have excellent data analysis skillsYou have a thorough understanding and working knowledge of incurred costs vs billed costs analysisYou are a team player who thrives to work in a diverse environment with get the job done attitude.It'd be even better if you Are an independent worker that thrives in high paced environment where competing priorities are the normHave strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skillsAre highly organized and detail oriented with excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communications skills Are familiar with government and commercial contracts terminologyAre accustomed to working with medium to large sized contracting companies where multiple responsibilities are assignedWhat you'll get An immediately-vested 401(K) with employer matchingRapid PTO accrual schedule with floating holidaysComprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverageTuition assistance, financing, and refinancingPaid maternity and paternity leaveCompany-paid infertility treatmentsCross-training and professional development opportunitiesThe ability to influence major initiativesSECURITY CLEARANCE This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.
