ECS is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to work in our Washington, DC office.A' Please Note: This position is contingent upon contract award.Job Description: ECS is looking for a talented Sr Engineer who is passionate about automation and orchestration an exciting Cloud based project. Strong candidates will have a desire to learn and work with new technologies and provide high quality technical support and leadership for transformational application development efforts and teams.Responsibilities:Evolve strategies to scale, secure, monitor, and back up a cloud platformContinually strive to automate and streamline operations and maintenance processes by identifying areas of improvement, writing automation scripts, and documentationDesign and implement Continuous Delivery Framework components using Open Source SoftwareSupport Continuous Integration (CI) and build servers, and ensure adherence to CI principlesTrain engineers leveraging the platform to take advantage of automationSubject matter expert providing hands on support and leadership, focused on tools like Terraform, Ansible, Bamboo, Azure/AWS DevOps managed services, Jenkins, Circle CI, and similarRequired Skills:US Citizenship is requiredBachelor's degree in engineering or technical discipline, or associates with equivalent years of experience.Must successfully complete a stringent Background Investigation and obtain the required Government Security Clearance.At Least 8 Years of overall experience and knowledge of:Windows/Linux AdministrationNetworking and virtual infrastructure managementConfiguration Management experience through Ansible/Terraform/Chef/PuppetStrong scripting in at least one language Python, Perl, Shell, BatchCloud environmentsDesired Skills:Understanding of Git and how to use itFamiliarity working in Agile / SCRUM Development environmentsSome familiarity with Golang, C#, Java, C++ or other object-oriented programming skillsDeep knowledge of tuning Linux and Windows operating systemsExpertise in core enterprise systems (DNS, SMTP, Syslog, Route Tables, Firewalls, TLS, etc.)Experience with AWS and Azure Cloud EnvironmentsExperience with containerization and microservice architecturesECS is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate or allow discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, age, national origin, citizenship, disability, veteran status or any other classification protected by federal, state, or local law.
