Intelligent Automation, Inc. (IAI) is looking for a new team member who is a self-motivated Electrical Engineer with a passion for embedded systems. You will be working with the Sensing & Communications Group to develop custom solutions in the fields of software defined radios, radar, navigation, and sensors. We have numerous active research and development projects where we design, integrate, test, and deploy systems for a range of applications, including wireless communications, ISR (intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance), localization, and time transfer. We are looking to add expertise and talent to our multi-disciplinary team to continue to achieve success in all of these areas.CITIZENSHIP STATUS / CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTSYou must be a US Citizen to be considered for this roleYou must have an active (or recently active) DoD Secret Security ClearanceJOB DUTIESWork closely with algorithm developers, and/or lead algorithmic development, to mature algorithms from MATLAB and C++ to real-time applicationsWork closely with and/or lead FPGA engineers developing architecture/protocol to exchange control/data between ARM and FPGAUtilize and/or modify existing code bases and libraries; create and shape new functionality.REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATIONBS or MS degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science (or related field)Must have 4 years (or more) of documented experience working with embedded systemsREQUIRED SKILLSEmbedded software development on microcontrollers and ARM cores embedded in FPGAs/SoCsProgramming Languages: C/C++/PythonExperience programming with real-time software, on small RTOS's or bare-metal environmentsWrite clean, efficient, well-documented codeStrong written and communication skillsProficient with SCM tools such as SVN, and GITDESIRED SKILLSFamiliar with common signal processing algorithmsExperience prototyping software based on conference/journal publicationsInstalling and configuring embedded Linux.Inter-System communication over TCP/UDP, Serial InterfaceIntegration with common external interfaces such as I2C, SPI, UARTExperience using test equipment such as Logic Analyzers, Oscilloscopes, Power measurementStrong background in mathAbout IAIIAI is a technology innovation company specializing in providing advanced technology solutions and R services to federal agencies and corporations.
