Location: Remote or Ashburn, VA. The hiring manager for this position works remotely. 

Salary Range: $40,000 - $50,000

NRPA is currently seeking an Education Coordinator, Online Learning to join our Professional Development department.

Description:
The Education Coordinator maintains active online learning material, including managing the learning management system (LMS), handling customer service, and compiling data that informs decision making. The incumbent also maintains the webinar calendar and serves as the production specialist in charge of producing and delivering webinars, micro-learning, and other live event content supporting NRPA’s online communities of practice.

  Specific Responsibilities Include:

  • Produces online live events including frequent webinars, conference streaming, and virtual conferences reinforcing communities of practice.
  • Maintains current course content, seeing products through their life cycle, and handling customer service issues as they arise.
  • Gathers data to make suggestions for future programming or adjustments to current programs as necessary.
  • Works with various internal and external stakeholders to consult, identify, produce and market online learning and educational content.
  • Assists in training volunteers on public speaking and virtual event/webinar practices.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required. Bachelor’s Degree in media production, instructional design, instructional technology, event management or another related field preferred.
  • Three years of experience producing content for online delivery.
  • Success in delivering a high-quality customer service experience.
  • Experience working within a learning management system.
  • Competency of software:  Microsoft Office, Learning Management Systems, AMS, video editing
  • Preferred competency of software and code languages including: Adobe Creative Suite, Articulate Storyline, HTML, Java, and other software as required.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Travel: 5%

Willing to travel outside of the Washington Metropolitan Area or your remote work location. Remote workers must visit NRPA Headquarters periodically including attendance at the NRPA annual conference.
