Summary

This position is for a contract audit and risk program analyst within the Office of Information Technology, Strategic Sourcing, Contract Management and Oversight. The position provides contract oversight, vendor management, contract audit, supply chain management, risk management, and evaluation of contract audit and risk program operation.

Major Duties:
  • Serve as a senior analyst and advisor to top management on the evaluation of the effectiveness of administrative programs and operations
  • Develop recommendations for improvement in program operations that promote efficiency and cost savings
  • Develops and utilizes techniques and procedures for improving organizational efficiency
  • Monitor contract performance, assess contract risks, reduce government risk, and increase accountability
  • Comply with procurement regulations to provide data driven, effective guidance

The Selective Placement Factor for this position is: Experience working closely with stakeholders to develop effective contract monitoring strategies, audit strategies, and cost reduction strategies, including contract management, contract audit and risk management plans.

Specialized Experience: Specialized experience is experience that has equipped the applicant with the particular competencies/knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position and is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled.

The Specialized Experience for this position is: Using analytical and evaluative methods and techniques for assessing program development or execution and developing and presenting recommendations for improvements in program operations which promote efficiency and cost savings. Communicates complex analyses to non-technical audiences and educates peers and higher-level management on use of data and ensures that accepted standards are applied to data evaluation and analysis.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religions; spiritual; community; student; social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Note: A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities. Applicants wishing to receive credit for such experience must indicate clearly the nature of their duties and responsibilities in each position and the number of hours a week spent in such employment.

Receiving Service Credit or Earning Annual (Vacation) Leave: Federal Employees earn annual leave at a rate (4, 6 or 8 hours per pay period) which is based on the number of years they have served as a Federal employee.
