The Operational Energy Risk Management Analyst will work at the OSD client site (Pentagon).ResponsibilitiesProvide program support through participation in wargames and exercises to ensure operational energy limitations and constraints are considered in future force planning.Provide assessments of the consequences of operational energy constraints and develop strategies to address gaps in operational energy requirements and develop metrics to measure success.Develop issue and white papers to inform policy and resourcing decision making.Assess, analyze military service and Combatant Commands' (CCMD) current and future concepts of operation, campaign and operational plans, force structure to inform operational energy related policy and resourcing decisions. Assessments should address requirement demands, sustainment capabilities, threats to US/allies/partners energy and energy logistics assets, and potential mitigation options.Review Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS) documents for compliance with the energy Key Performance Parameter in the JCIDS Manual.Represent ODASD(E) in Capability Based Assessments (CBAs) and Analysis of Alternatives (AoA) working groups and prepare DASD(E) for participation in AoA senior advisory groups and other JCIDS-related meeting.Produce analytical products, draft policy, guidance and directives, meeting minutes, reporting documentation, and other products necessary for the management of ODASD(E) Risk Management program efforts.With support from the Operational Energy Resilience Team, develop a comprehensive Operational Energy Knowledge Book capturing all components of the global fuel laydown to include among others: fuel storage (DoD fuel infrastructure, commercial infrastructure, contracts, etc.), weapons systems laydown (ie blunt force), distribution (DoD provided, contract, etc.)Qualifications10+ years' experience supporting the US government with 3+ years' experience in wargaming, analytics, or modeling & simulation on the Joint Staff, Service Headquarters staff, or OSD staff.Bachelor's degree in engineering, scientific, technical, or related fieldU.S. military experience and knowledge of DoD organization and structure.Technical background to provide management and integration support to assist in integrating the constraints and limitations of energy into war games, exercises, force planning, modeling tools, acquisition, and studies, and in assessing the consequences of those energy constraints through research and direct interface with the OSD Staff, Joint Staff, Services, and CCMDs. Proven capability to conduct assessments and analyses on the energy-related issues of the military services' and CCMDs' current and future concepts of operation, campaign and operational plans, and force structure that address requirement demands, sustainment capabilities, threats to US/allies/partners energy and energy logistics assets, and potential mitigation options.Ability to reviews acquisition documents for compliance with the energy Key Performance Parameter in the JCIDS Manual and participate in other, non-JCIDS acquisition processes to ensure energy considerations are included.Proficiency in producing analytical products, directives, meeting minutes, reporting documentation, and other products necessary for the efficient management of ODASD(E) Risk Management efforts.Current Top Secret (SCI Eligible) clearance.EEO StatementLMI is an Equal Opportunity Employer-all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or national origin.
