Position DescriptionFinancial Analyst IIIIf you love high profile and challenging projects supporting the US Navy, Serco has a great opportunity for you! We are seeking detail-oriented candidates that can work independently, as well as contribute to team assessments. Familiarity with BFM functions within a Navy Program Office is a plus.In this role you will:Maintain financial status and history records, reports, and assessments to identify program financial resources/shortfalls and obligations and expenditure data.Create, monitor, and manage ERP Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) including validating/creating WBS elements.Run various reports in Navy ERP to show status of funding and to validate or research data.Apply knowledge of DoD Programming, Planning, Budgeting and Execution (PPBE) for a DoD program/project office with emphasis on program planning, budget, and funds execution.Assist in developing and defending budget resource requirements including budget exhibit preparation, POM development/coordination, and Congressional reporting.QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you will have:A Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related discipline, plus 7 years of directly related experience preferably in a government contracting environment. Education and work experience may be adjusted for highly specialized knowledge or uniquely applicable experience.Knowledge of financial, accounting, and forecasting concepts.Familiar with DFARS, FAR, and other relevant laws, regulations, and policies.Knowledge of DoD Programming, Planning, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) cycle requirement, POM and budget development, budget exhibits, and execution.Knowledge of financial and accounting software applications.Familiar with contracting instruments including modifications and closeout procedures. Knowledge of Microsoft applications.Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
