We are seeking a junior-level Financial Program Analyst to support a government client in Alexandria, VA. The Analyst will be responsible for supporting a number of activities that pertain to program and budget formulation. Responsibilities involve preparing funding documents, monitoring of program execution, and evaluating financial and budgetary trends. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a technical and scientific research environment comprised of a highly technical customer base. This opportunity will broaden the candidate's perspective of issues involved in government financing.What you'll do Track funding obligations and expenditures across multiple appropriationsAssist with preparation of various funding documentation tasks as neededComplete scheduled and ad-hoc reports and analysis on status of funds, and program submissionsComply with applicable Federal, DoD, and local regulations and proceduresYou'd be a great fit if You have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a business-related field such as economics, finance, or management with 2 years relevant work experience; HS diploma with a minimum of 8 years relvant experience.You have 5 years of MS Excel experienceYou have 1-2 years of experience with databases, database concepts, and SQLIt'd be even better if you Have knowledge of the Defense Program, Planning, Budget, and Execution (PPBE) LifecycleHave strong time-management and organizational skillsHave strong verbal and written communication skillsHave a strong ability to multitaskHave strong team player and people skillsHave a strong ability to operate independently with little guidanceSECURITY CLEARANCE This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain and maintain a secret level security clearance.
